First, keep the area as clean as possible. The worst thing you can do is to get an infection in a hemorrhoid. These can lead to serious medical complications. Do your best to keep the area dry, clean and warm.

Second, if your hemorrhoid is bleeding, it is important to see a doctor right away. It is understandable why so many men and women avoid doctors since hemorrhoid treatments can be embarrassing, but a bleeding hemorrhoid is a very serious condition and it needs to be looked after by a doctor.

Finally, treating your hemorrhoids is simple and inexpensive. You need to add more fiber to your diet right away, so you can take one of the many over the counter fiber supplements available or you can simply eat more delicious food items that contain fiber. As far as treating your hemorrhoid, there are many inexpensive creams you can use to apply to the hemorrhoid, or you can simply take a hot bath, which is also known to help reduce swelling.
